Navratris Matanamadh

 In a year two significant events of “Navratri” (nine Night) each appearing in two district months of Chaitra and Aso, out of four months namely Madh (Moha), Chaitra, Ashadh and Aso of the Hindu calendar are celebrated religiously as per traditions.

Here for Chaitra Navaratri foundation of Gadh Staphan is generally held in the “Khadag Dhari” room located in the Mataji’s temple at dusk on the day of Vad Fagan Amas(fully dark night) and on the day of shukla Partipada (sood Ekam) of Chaitra and likewise same rites are followed for Ashwin (Aso) Navratri on the day of Vad Amas of Bhadrva month and on the day of Shukla Partipada (Sood Ekam)of Aso month and simultaneously it sets people off celebrating of Navratri festival, for nine day without any break.

Any disciple of prelate or previous Prelate as a sword-holder (Khadag Dhari) was placed onto a seat on the sword-holder room and a vow-holder Kapadi disciple kept himself sitting on lone seat until the morning of Ashtami (Atam-eight day). This practice and system as per tradition was observed for several month from now.

But nowadays, any Kapdi Sadhu (saint) other than prelate is not traced at all .Therefore, one coconut representing the saint is offered on the seat of the sward-holder (Khadog dhori).

During the festivals of Navratri, devout devotees one typically busy with meditation, devotional services and singing hymns.

Here devout devotees, specially coming for devotional viewing of Maa Jagdamba are usually found in throng especially in Aso Navratri.

During the Aso Navratri, the flow of the devout devotees continues unremittingly.

TERE DWAR PE AY KE, NIRASH NA KOI JAY
ASHA PURNA KARINI, ASHA PURNA KAHAY.



Innumerable on – foot pilgrims all our Kutch and Saurashtra come here and feel themselves grateful and contended for harming them devotional viewing of Mataji.

Many devotees, owing to their ambitions, desires or wishes fulfilled and satisfied by Mataji usually come here to observe what they have committed before Mataji, just in return of their desires etc. fulfilled, where as other many devotees come have to take a vow before and in presence of Mataji’s idol.
